Players assemble elite bands of monster hunters from the great powers, combining the martial prowess of riflemen, swordsmen, and engineers with the arcane skills of mystics and occultists. Some even ally with controllable supernatural beings. The game supports solo, cooperative, and competitive play, with campaigns that see characters grow in prowess, sustain injuries, and either overcome the encroaching darkness or succumb to it.
