The KV-1 is a colossal heavy tank, weighing in at 45 tonnes, and was one of Russia's first heavy tanks used in World War II. It was famed for its near impregnability, with German anti-tank weaponry of the time struggling to penetrate its thick Armor. The sheer sight of a KV-1 was enough to cause enemy forces to abandon their positions.

This kit allows you to build either the KV-1 or KV-2 turret variants, each representing the might of Soviet engineering. The KV-1's 76.2mm cannon was a formidable weapon against German Armor, and this tank set the standard for what a heavy tank could achieve. Although it eventually fell out of favour, the KV-1 laid the groundwork for future Soviet heavy tanks.
