Black Powder | British O'er The Hills And Far Away | 28mm Plastic Unit
-
The 3rd Battalion of Detachments, struck from all official records, exemplified Brigadier General Alan Campbell’s view of “recovered men” from Sir J. Moore’s army, who were found scattered and committing excesses that tarnished the reputation of British soldiers. During the Douro campaign and the capture of Oporto in 1809, the 3rd Battalion saw action near the village of Grijo, clashing with the infamous French regiment, les Bouchers (the Butchers). The encounter is also remembered for a fierce dog fight between the battalion’s bull terrier mascot, Duchess, and the French poodle, Fifi.
These exceptional miniatures, cast in finest Warlord Resin, are a must for any Napoleonic British wargamer.
